Here, we provide a comprehensive review on recent research on energy-saving technologies for cooling DCs and TBSs, covering free-cooling, liquid-cooling, two-phase cooling and thermal energy storage based cooling.

What is the energy consumption of a DC / TBS?

The energy consumption of DCs or TBSs is mainly due to computing and communication, cooling, data storage, lighting, power conversion and electronics etc. The computer and communication system takes the lion's share, accounting for about 50% of the total energy consumption.

How does a DC & TBS cooling system work?
